31 July, 2009 Browntrout is featured in the Sun-times weekly food section.

Browntrout is featured in the Sun-times weekly food section with an accompanying review by Pat Bruno.

Here is some of what Pat had to say:

"One of the newest is Browntrout on North Lincoln Avenue, and it's a good one. Chef-owner Sean Sanders (formerly at Bin 36) has put together (with the assistance of his wife, Nadia) a comfortable, casual neighborhood eatery that has become an instant hit. "
"Nothing gets a restaurant critic off to a good start like a dish of mixed olives glazed with a fragrant olive oil and slices of great bread. Browntrout had me right there. That's one of those neighborhood-eatery touches, as simple as it is, that rocks my world."

31 July, 2009 Browntrout featured on ABC's Hungry hound with Steve Dolinsky

Chef Sanders and Browntrout are featured on ABC's Hungry Hound with Steve Dolinsky.
Here is an excerpt:

"It's just a great fish. I've been a fisherman my whole life and I've always wanted to open a restaurant that was able to serve these types of fishes that I have fished my whole life," said Sean Sanders, the chef and owner of Browntrout.
"Well, walleye is a very sustainable fish. It is something that is fished throughout Canada and throughout the Great Lakes. But it is something that is always in high demand and supply," Sanders said.
